It all begins with yourself: Discipline
Discipline
We must have self discipline if we want to achieve our 10k lifestyle target.
And it isn’t easy, nothing in this world is easy after all.
It is what we first need to learn in order to follow any task we have set for ourselves.
Like I’ve said in our first chapters, there will be many obstructions and distractions along the way to our goals, this is where discipline plays an important role in our daily lives.
Along with focus, this will strengthen your motivation to follow your goals.
It will be your foundation on following the rules and targets we have set for yourself.
It all begins with yourself.
If you truly want something, and you want it so bad, you will do anything you possibly can to get it right?
Even if it means giving up the things you enjoy doing the most. It’s all about sacrifice and self discipline. You must train yourself to avoid doing the things you know that will hinder you or distract you from reaching our goals.
Look straight ahead, look forward. Stick to your goals and stick to our plan on how to reach them. This is why discipline is so important if we want to succeed.
Many successful people sleep only four hours a day, miss out on holidays with families, miss their kids’ birthdays and important occasion in their families’ lives because they have dedicated their lives to following their dreams. And it takes a lot of sacrifice and hard work.
We must maintain a disciplined lifestyle each day to get closer to our dreams.
We must learn self control and perseverance, because if we can’t discipline ourselves we can’t keep our path to our goals straight.
If you have an early meeting with a client at 8am in the morning, you must avoid going out with friends and staying out late at night. You need to set your priorities and stick to it at all cost, you need to stay focused.
The road to success is quite rough and there are many things you need to be willing to give up for it, you need a clear understanding and strong determination, a disciplined mind and self control.
You can set rules and restrictions for yourself, but if you have no self discipline, you will not work hard to stick to these rules. Because you need to train yourself to be a better and stronger version of you.
Imagine a world with undisciplined people, there would be no government, no cops or teachers. People would not follow rules, there will be no peace and order in this world.
That’s how important it is to be a disciplined individual.
People who are well disciplined teach themselves to follow certain rules for themselves to stay focused and motivated. Because when you are serious about your dreams and you dedicate yourself to reaching that dream, self control and discipline will follow easily.
We must get in touch with our inner strength and develop self determination. because when we are in control, we can follow our decisions easily and not keep changing our minds about it.
This is why discipline plays a major role in our 10k lifestyle.
It will help us to stay focused and keep an eye on our target.
Discipline and focus plays well together and is very powerful, when we develop these within ourselves, it will be much easier for us to follow that path to success.
I’m not really saying that if you don’t have discipline, you will not succeed. Success is just more realistic if you have the right attitude, the right mindset and of course self discipline.
When you know what your priorities are, and you know the things that you can and can’t do, you are most likely to avoid delays and detours towards your journey.
It’s all about sticking to your plan for yourself and for your future.
